The World of Sonic2k

Welcome to my little corner of the web, my latest take on my personal website. In case you are wondering what happened to Sonic2k's page, fear not, the content is being migrated to this design, because let's be honest, this is a lot nicer on the eyes!

So, *UNDER CONSTRUCTION* (some don't work, yet.) Please check back soon, I am working hard to bring this site up to scratch!

You will probably be surprised to learn that I've been a fan of Sonic for just over 26 years, a very long time to stick with Sonic, and also more surprised to learn my age... (I am 50). I was sucked into Sonic during the Adventure era, and if you look carefully, you will notice how the site's theme tends towards that era, especially the choice of font, which is the same as used in Sonic Adventure.

Now I would have carried on with my current layout, but several events happened:

• I discovered an article about the Old Web coming back, which in short order led me to discover neocities.org
• When searching there for Sonic (as any Sonic fan would), I found Starakex's website, and was blown away that there's someone else out there like me that is that deep into Sonic.
• Along the way I also discovered they use a simple easy-to-understand web template, which led me to find EGGRAMEN's site, and the simple, clean code offered there. None of this over-the-top heavy design pattern BS, that nobody except a developer with a degree or two can understand.

In short, I am having fun again building a website, for the first time in 20 years!!! And I am doing it in Visual Studio Code
